Fashion Quote of the Day
"Fashion anticipates, and elegance is a state of mind... a mirror of the time in which we live, a translation of the future, and should never be static."
Glamour July 2011
In light of Blake Lively's recent (Recent as in today) nude photo scandal, here are some fully clothed pictures of her posing for Glamour's July issue. You know, it's funny because just last night as I was lying in bed wide awake because as luck would have it the one time I actually try to go to bed early, I fail, I was thinking about all the June issues and who should and should not grace the covers of certain magazines and I was like "You know who hasn't graced the cover of the US version of Glamour yet? Blake Lively." and what do you know?! Here she is. I'm special like that, you guys. Anyway, I love Blake Lively. I love this shoot and while I still wish that I were dating Leonardo DiCaprio and running around Europe with him and while I wish she had kept her clothes on, I will not judge her too much. But seriously, Serena van der Woodsen, try and clothe yourself.
I feel like this should be the cover picture because (Surprise, surprise) she looks gorgeous. And can we just talk about how AMAZING these Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti shorts are? I'm determined to get shorts like this. Determined, I tell you.
I must say, I'm really glad that Glamour is branching out with their photo shoots and not just leaving their cover girls in a studio in front of a white screen. It seems as though someone's been reading my blog... Just kidding.
Oh, this is my favorite one. SHE. IS. SO. PRETTY.

Fashion Quote of the Day
"We're dealing with sophisticated customers. What's most important to these women is individuality. I have to create things she'll want to wear, no matter who she is."
Oscar de la Renta
Behind the Scenes: ODLR Resort Show
I'm legit obsessed with the behind the scenes photos from Oscar de la Renta's latest Resort Show. They are magnificent. I seriously look forward to the day when I'm backstage taking these pictures with my iPhone. I am so eager for my future career.
J'adore cet homme.
I'm obsessed with this photo in particular. Mainly because I want to be her.
I still really hate the hats.

Manicure Borrowed
Yep, that was my attempt at a clever title. I failed, leave me alone. So, a couple weeks ago, I saw the lovely "Something Borrowed" with my Mama for Mother's Day (I told you it was awhile ago, I am such a slacker), which I loved. But besides gawking over the gorgeousness that is Colin Egglesfield, the cleverness that is John Krasinski and the cuteness that is Ginnifer Goodwin, I couldn't stop staring at Kate Hudson's manicure. I know, I know. Random, right? Usually I'm not a fan of colored French Manicures, but for some reason, the chicness of Kate Hudson's character and the delicateness of her black French Manicured nails, had me head over well, nails? Nope, I'm done trying to be clever. Either way, I am getting my nails done with my sister for her Prom and I will be requesting a black French Manicure and I will be reporting back. Wish me luck.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres
Last weekend, one of my childhood dreams came true. No, I didn't marry Joe Jonas or turn into a mermaid (Yes, that is one of my childhood dreams). I bought my first piece of Chanel makeup. Les 4 Ombres in Spices. Or to be less pretentious, the Quadra Eye Shadow in Spices. The colors complement my sparkling green eyes tremendously and well, it's just fun sit in front of my mirror in the morning and open my Chanel case. It makes me feel so fancy. And although I felt a little guilty spending $57 on eyeshadow (In my defense, I had a gift card for Bloomingdale's), I think it's worth it. Eyeshadow lasts a very long time and Chanel is forever. Cheesy? Totally. True? Most definitely.
I also got the Chanel Brow Definer in Taupe. I really, really recommend that as well.
Right? SO. PRETTY. So chic. So Chanel. (I swear, they should hire me on their advertising team...)
Katherine Heigl
Everyone knows that I have a soft spot in my heart for Katherine Heigl. I enjoy all of her films (With the exception of "The Ugly Truth." Gosh dang, I hated that movie so much.) and I have been able to look past her silly comments to the press about "Grey's Anatomy," but I'm having a really hard time understanding her outfits as of late. This is just frumpy, frumpy, frumpy. And I'm just not in love with her hair which makes me sad. The one great thing about being a celebrity and having millions of dollars is that you can get extensions whenever you want, so I guess chopping all your beautiful hair off really isn't THAT traumatic. Because believe me, when I even cut an inch off my hair, tears are usually involved on the drive home. I always blame it on my hormones, but the truth is, hair cuts are emotional. To sum that up, I want Katherine Heigl to get extensions or at least style her hair better (Fine, there is a breeze, I'll give her half a break on this one.) and I want to be her stylist. Okay?
Fashion Quote of the Day
"If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it. A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely."

Kim Kardashian
I'm sure you heard that Kim Kardashian is engaged to some guy with the same first name as her Mom (Which I still think is so weird), for it is all over the internet. Seriously, all over it. Anyway, Kim and her fiance, Kris Humphries were in Monte Carlo today just you know, walkin' around, whatever, which of course is a great time to debut the engagement ring. Those Kardashians, so smart. The. Ring. Is. HUGE. Like, GIGANTIC. Last I checked it was 20 carats, but who knows. It's huge, I can't get over how big it is. My friend and I are attempting to get invited to her wedding, so fingers crossed!

Chelsea Kane
Okay, I don't know why I love Chelsea Kane (Formerly Chelsea Staub) so much, but I do. Although, I'm starting to trace it back to my Jonas Brothers days and I think they may or may not have something to do with it. She was on their short-lived (Thank God) Disney Channel TV show and she got to (Spoiler alert!) kiss Joe, so maybe I always just wanted to be her and I like people I want to be, so if my math is correct, (or something) I think that is why I love her. Because I want to be her. Anyway, that was all nonsense, but I'm sure at least one of you picked up what I put down (Oh my Lord, did I mention that I'm not feeling well?...). Alright, now onto the real reason I dragged you here, I hate how much I love Chelsea Kane and I hate how much I love the dress she wore this morning on "Good Morning America." Like, I kind of feel like I should be all "Oh gross! It's so weird looking. Horizontal lines!!" But I actually am kind of loving it. Oh, and I know that I don't watch "Dancing With the Stars," but I really wanted Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas to win. (Another spoiler alert!)
Lucy Hale
Oh, I am so excited for "Pretty Little Liars" to come back into my life. I am having major withdrawals, all of my TV shows are officially on Summer Break and it is hurting my heart. But PLL comes back next month and my heart is overjoyed. So, speaking of PLL, my favorite actress from the show, Lucy Hale, made an appearance last night at the Gracie Awards in this super cute Ina Soltani dress. It's fun and shiny and while it's not going to make any best dressed lists, I still really like it. I'm not sure I like her little booties though. I kind of have a problem with short dresses and booties. But more on that later, "Glee" finale, I'm talking to you...
Fashion Quote of the Day
"I CAN BORROW ALL YOUR CLOTHES: Anything in your closet, no matter how fancy, is co-owned by me, your best friend. I can borrow it for as long as I want. If I get something on it or lose it, I should make all good faith attempts to get it cleaned or buy you a new one, but I don't need to do that, and you still have to love me. If I ruin something of yours and don't replace it, you're allowed to talk shit about me to our other friends for a calendar year. That's it. Then you have to get over it. One stipulation to borrowing your clothes is that you have to have worn the item at least once before I borrow it. I'm not a monster."
Mindy Kaling "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?"
*Mindy Kaling, of "The Office," may or may not be one of my favorite celebrities to follow on Twitter. She is so funny and entertaining, I just want to go to coffee with her just so I can listen to her talk about random stuff. But because I am not yet famous, I cannot just invite her to Starbucks to talk about how great it must be to lust over John Krasinski from far away and write funny one-liners for his character. But I found the next best thing... She wrote a book. And of course, I find the excerpt in the middle of my Spanish Language & Culture class and of course, I am reading it whilst in class and yes, of course, my teacher keeps calling on me. Anyway, go read the excerpt and then pre-order it on Borders.com because so far, it is great and I love it.

Kate Middleton
Evidently the Obamas are in London visiting the Queen and such at the Buckingham Palace and yes, sure, Michelle Obama looks great, but I'm really in love with the Reiss Shola dress that Kate Middleton wore. Oh, she is so pretty...

*Oh, who is this you ask? Oh, he is my new love. Go see "Pirates of the Caribbean: Of Stranger Tides" and you'll come out in LOVE with him. He's so pretty. And he's British. Yes, please and thank you.
David Beckham
I am sure Victoria Beckham would be MORE than happy to give you permission to swoon/drool/cry/etc. over her hubby. How is it possible that he is THIS good looking? My Mom and I are actually convinced that suits make men 10x more handsome, so I mean really, David Beckham + suit making him 10x more handsome = Inappropriate lust.

Jessica Biel
NO NO NO NO NO. Jessica Biel's Gucci TEAL VELVET suit is giving me anxiety. (Oh great, maybe velvet is the real problem behind my newfound anxiety...) Like, what the what?! This is awful. If you ever wanted to torture me, you should put this on me. Oh my gosh. Thinking about that makes me want to wash my hands. I hate velvet. I absolutely loathe it. And a whole suit? I'm going to puke.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Oh no. My dearest celebrity boyfriend-husband-crush, Leonardo DiCaprio, was spotted on a boat in Italy (With Blake Lively (again), by the way) in THIS heinous outfit. I mean, are you walking around with just socks? Reason #1234 as to why I should be your girlfriend/stylist. It's either tennis shoes or barefoot. There's no in between. Do you have a headband? Reason #1235 as to why I should be your girlfriend/stylist. Who are you? Nick Jonas? Not even you can pull this off. Are you wearing a shirt? Reason #1236 as to why I should be your girlfriend/stylist. Shirtless Leo! Shirtless Leo! Shirtless Leo! I'm just saying because I mean, really? And I mean, if he's not going to date me (His loss) then can he just do us all a favor and date Kate Winslet already?

Fashion Citation Number Thirty-Three
Oh yes. This fashion citation is a REAL hot mess. Not a Ke$ha hot mess, but a real life 911 hot mess. It included: A sweater, a dress, pants, socks and flip flops. I mean, what the WHAT? She ran through the Target parking lot because I'm sure she was hella embarrassed as she should be. I need to help these people, but I don't know how... Baby steps. Baby steps.
2011 Billboard Music Awards
Ah yes, an awards show. As much as I love me some good (Or decent) music and an awards show, I kind of dread music awards shows. It is always a red carpet full of hot messes, but I have learned (Well, tried) that I need to accept the artists' creativity for what it is. Or something cheesy like that. I mean, I try, but some are just really, really bad. That is why I favor the Oscar's, Golden Globes, etc. because they are classy and fancy and pretty and I just really wanna go, okay?! Anyway, I present to you the Billboard Music Awards. Whatever. Just kidding. We did have a few diamonds in the rough. Selenita, I'm talking to you.
Selena Gomez shut it DOWN tonight. Oh heavens. She looked gorgeous in this Dolce & Gabbana gown. Like, drop-dead, "I want reconstructive surgery to look like her," (Just kidding on that one) "No wonder Biebs loves her," Selena Gomez for the win, gorgeous. Look at her working not only the middle part and the slit, but the side cutouts. Well done, Selena. Well-freaking-done.
BIEBS. Look at his hair! Look at his face! Look at his coat. Oh that coat. I kind of love it. I would wear that as a chic blazer. I think I could totally pull it off. Hey Justin Bieber, give me a call or something. Oh crap, he's not legal yet, so I take that back. But if Selena Gomez can kiss him and touch his leg like that, then I can call him up and borrow his jacket. Right?...
Okay, due to the fact that Taylor Swift was looking exceptionally gorgeous tonight (This has "Eat your heart out, Joe Jonas" written all over it), I am going to ignore the fact that I am pretty sure she's worn this Elie Saab gown 100 times and I am going to ask for the 100th time that she please think outside of the box. For I am SO glad that she knows what she likes, etc. but I mean, for reals?
Okay, ever since I got back from Ke$ha's concert the other weekend, I have kind of been obsessed with Miss K-Money. Granted, she's still dirty and I'm still finding glitter on myself, but I can't NOT love her. She's too just well, Ke$ha. That being said, I do NOT like her Jad Ghanour dress. I do not like it at all. It's just, no. No. No. No. Her hair doesn't look too greasy though. Silver lining, people!
Ugh. Why do I always think Fergie Ferg is older than 36 years old? I think that's a lie. Oh, and I don't like this Herve Leger dress on her. Gosh, I really just don't like Herve Leger in general. Oh and maybe next time she shouldn't show up with legs the color of a carrot? Just food for though. *Insert cheesy drum "buh dum bum" sound here*
Holy. No. Nicki Minaj, I don't have energy for you today. But might I suggest removing the barnacles attached to your legs?...
What is up with Rihanna's Mom hair cut? I mean, for reals. I think the part that's pissing me off the most is that she still looks pretty. HOW DOES SHE DO IT? Oh and she's totally pulling off this Max Azria suit. It's ridiculous. And I must give her kudos (Yeah I know, kudos is back again) for wearing nude shoes. LOOK HOW MUCH LONGER HER LEGS APPEAR. See height challenged ladies? This could be you...
MEEP. I love Joe Jonas. I'm pretty sure I will always love Joe Jonas. I think he's just one of those guys who will always have my heart. There will always be that one guy (Okay, sometimes there are a few and granted I only met Joe Jonas for .209 seconds, but it was life changing. He liked my scarf, you guys...) and Joe is that one guy. I love him and although our celebrity name will be difficult (We can choose between Joerin and Eroe. See? We're kind of a lost cause) I can deal. I can't deal with his white shoes though. Maybe I just don't like the bottom of the shoes. Yep, that's it.
Despite the fact that Nicole Kidman wore black for the 10293th time in her life (That is the official black dress count number, by the way) I don't hate this one as much as I should. As much as I want to actually. Granted, I did do a double take because EVERY SINGLE TIME she's on the red carpet, whether it's for a movie or for an awards show I'm always like "Who is that? Oh, Nicole Kidman. What is she doing here? Remember when she was married to Tom Cruise? Yeah, that was weird. How is he still married to Katie Holmes? That's weird too. But I want a daughter like Suri Cruise. Wait, why am I thinking about Tom Cruise? What is Nicole Kidman doing there? Does she have a movie out?" Every. Single. Time, you guys. I can never figure out why Nicole Kidman is anywhere, but then I remember that she is married to Keith Urban and they're cute together. But seriously, that entire inner conversation happens every time I see her, which sometimes is a lot so I have to deal with that entire conversation every time. My life is rough, guys. So to sum THAT nonsense up, I like Nicole Kidman's outfit, despite the fact that she's worn black 10293 times and I think it's nice that she still supports her non-crazy husband. Although, didn't Keith Urbs go to rehab or something? It's hard to keep up. Hollywood should write a book on rehabs and celebrity love hexagons... Actually, I should write a book about that. I think it'd be really helpful.
