Fashion Quote of the Day

"A woman's dress should be like a barbed wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view."
Sophia Loren

Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth

Miley, Miley, Miley. Puh-lease buy clothes without holes in them! Her top half is super cute though. But seriously. And to make it worse, her fashion sense is rubbing off on her boyfriend...

Lady Lobster?

Let me just start of by telling you that I do not like lobsters. I really, truly hate them. I had a traumatic experience with them a few years back and the sight of them just freak me out. Let me follow that statement by telling you that I still like Lady Gaga. So, now that you know that, you can only imagine how much I loathe this outfit. And that creepy yellow little hand on her hand?! That made it 5x worse!

D&G Fall 2010

Ah! Now it's Milan Fashion Week. How I love Fashion Week(s). I am such a heinous fashion blogger. I've missed more than half of all the Fashion Week(s). It's truly pitiful. Anyways, D&G's Fall 2010 line is to die for. Ooh la la, I love it. It's knit meets lace meets fantastic. Well, I'm not so in love with the fur and boots and such, but I love the red lace dress. A lot. Please buy it for me?!

Selena Gomez

I am a tiny bit obsessed with the white Georges Hobeika gown Selena Gomez wore to the NAACP Image Awards today. And by "tiny" I mean, a lot. I am completely obsessed. How beautiful is she? Stunning. Absolutely stunning. There are more posts about the 201o NAACP Image Awards on the way, but I'm a) Tired and b) Busy watching "Friends" right now.

Fashion Quote of the Day

"A man should look as if he had bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care, and then forgotten all about them."
Hardy Amies

Alice in Wonderland UK Premiere

The "Alice in Wonderland" premiere! Oh, so exciting. Shall we?
I love Anne Hathaway's Vivienne Westwood's dress right now. Like, a whole lot. And the color is really pretty and unique. Okay, not so unique, but it is really pretty.
Alright, I think Mia Wasikowska is adorable. Is her Valentino Couture dress adorable? Eh. I like the bottom of the dress, but the top is faux-tattoo meets couture. It's weird.
Why is freaking Avril Lavigne at this premiere? Sure, she sings that gosh awful song for the movie, but does she really need to be at the premiere? Yeah, no, I didn't think so either. And her D&G dress is overpowered by her seriously heinous hair.
I mean, I really didn't expect anything pretty from Helena Bonham Carter, but this is just hideous. No, not even hideous, it's just a hot little mess.

Tyra Banks

Tyra Banks needs to strut back to the store and return this heinous jumpsuit. Like, let's be real right now, it's just not okay.

Fashion Citation Number Twenty-Three

So, this picture cost me $3.00, a tummy ache and a good laugh. $3.00 for a Diet Pepsi and chips, a tummy ache from the Diet Pepsi and chips and a laugh because well, she's wearing a BANDANA! Yes, sir, a bandana. I don't understand what possessed her to think that this was okay to wear outside. Oh, sweet Lord. I hope you can see it, it was difficult to take a picture whilst pretending to be on the phone. I'm not THAT skilled.

Paloma Faith

I first heard of British singer, Paloma Faith, on Monday at the ELLE Style Awards 2010. You remember the shower curtain headdress, right? Yep, that was good ol' Paloma Faith. Although I still hate the shower curtain look she tried oh, so desperately to pull off (Let's face it, only Gaga can pull of something that heinous. I mean, artistic.), it is 10x better than this little mess right here. Try not to vom.

Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo, star of "The City," wore a gorgeous Matthew Williamson dress to the ELLE Style Awards last night. I mean, I really love this dress. A lot.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

I LOVE all of the oversized hair bows that were featured in Marc Jacob's Spring/Summer 2010 Marc show. I want one, please. And oddly enough, I kind of like this outfit too... Check out the rest of the show at ELLEUK.com.

ELLE Style Awards 2010

I love ELLE Magazine. I love style. I love awards. And I love when all of that is combined. Shall we?
I hate that I absolutely adore Kristen Stewart's Emilio Pucci minidress right now. Damn it.
Holy fashion citation, Naomi Campbell. I mean, sure, I love me some of the late Alexander McQueen's work, but this is a tad ridiculous. With and without the stupid jacket.
So, here's the thing. I like Leona Lewis' Alexander McQueen dress and nude shoes, but I hate her hat and gloves. The hat would look great with something else, but the gloves. No, please.
Unfortunately I kind of like Ashley Olsen's vintage Christian Lacroix gown and fantastic Fendi shoes. I do not, however, like Mary-Kate Olsen's Lanvin um, outfit. I'm not even sure what it is, but it's awful.
Holy shower curtain hat, Paloma Faith. How completely awful. It's like she wanted to pull a Lady Gaga, but she failed. She failed miserably.
Carey Mulligan looks like an old lady in this outfit from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's line, The Row. I'm not exactly loving it.
Aw, look at Claudia Schiffer and her baby bump. Baby bumps are cute, this Emma Cook frock is not. I mean, it has potential, but something's not right.
I am dying over Claire Danes' gorgeous Burberry outfit! So simple, so amazing.
I love me some Corinne Bailey-Rae, but I hate me some DVF jumpsuits.

Fashion Quote of the Day

"Now is the most exciting time in fashion. Women are controlling their destiny now, the consumer is more knowledgeable, and I have to be better every single day."
Oscar de la Renta

Shorts Suit

So, Glamour.com has an article on shorts suits and whether or not "we" (The readers) like them a) At all and b) Enough to wear them. Most of the comments were negative, but I happen to love them. And I mean, if you work in the right environment, why not try it? I mean, fashion is about taking risks or something, right? Yeah, that's what I thought. But let's not try TOO hard to compare ourselves to Olivia Palermo because let's face it, she's gorgeous.

Mr. & (Future) Mrs. Joel Madden

Joel Madden and Nicole Richie. Um, could they be any cuter? Let's just be real right now. I am starting to think that that is just not possible. They are too adorable together. I am secretly (Only not so secretly anymore) praying that they sell their wedding pictures to People. But I mean, whatever, it's their wedding, they can do whatever... I'm just really eager to see Nicole's wedding dress because let's face it, all her clothes are to die for. For example, her outfit below. It's absolutely fantastic and simple. I die.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has done it again. She looks totally adorable from the front, but when she turns around... Yes, that's another spiderweb-esque shirt. Why, Miley? Why? Whatever, if you just look at her from the front, she's darling. As is her dog. Could he be any cuter? Seriously, I just want to cuddle with him all day. I mean, is it too much to ask Miley to put on clothes that come in one piece?

2010 BAFTA Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards were in London on Sunday, February 21 and oh, I love when the stars come out to play!
Kate Freaking Winslet. How stunning does she look right now? She looks absolutely gorgeous and is totally rocking this Stella McCartney dress. I mean, look at that slit! She's fantastic, I love her.
Kristen Stewart is stepping up her game and I am really appreciating it. I mean, it's hard to make fun of her when she's wearing this Chanel dress. I mean, no one makes fun of Chanel. It's just not acceptable. Well done, Kristen. Please keep it up.
I actually really like Vera Farmiga's Marchesa gown. I'm not so in love with the draping on the chest, but I love the rest of it. Oh, Marchesa has my heart once again.
What's wrong with Robert Pattinson's hair?... I don't even care that he's wearing a potentially great Gucci suit, I just can't stop looking at his hair...
I don't know how I feel about Claire Danes' Burberry dress. It's kind of weird, but not an ugly weird, it's just unique. Right?
Oh. No. Carey Mulligan, this is just awful. From the print to the front of the dress. No, no. No.
I LOVE Anna Kendrick's Pucci dress! The color! The design! I really adore it.

My Top 5 Favorite Dresses

Today, whilst in the shower, I was thinking about all of my favorite dresses. (I know what you're thinking: 1. Seriously? In the shower? Yes, I think of weird things in the shower. What else am I supposed to do? It's boring in there. 2. ALL of your favorites? No, silly. I'm getting there...) So, I decided to narrow it down to just five. I promise you that I have millions more, but for now, here are the lucky five that have been on my mind all day.
Yeah. Right. Like you didn't see this coming... I am truly in love with this Christian Dior dress.
Again, not a surprise. Lea Michele's Oscar de la Renta gown has my heart.
You think Audrey Hepburn and you automatically think of what? Uh huh, the black dress. THE black dress. I recently heard the quote "A movie makes the clothes and the clothes make a movie" or something to that extent, and that's totally true. Because seriously, who doesn't love the classic Givenchy dress?
Yes, Belle from "Beauty & the Beast" and no, I'm not ashamed. This has been my favorite movie since forever and I will always and forever be in love with Belle's yellow gown. It's gorgeous. And the Beast (post-beastliness) is quite the hunk.
Their Marchesa gowns tie. I love them both too much to choose.

Did You Know?

Did you know that Cheryl Cole (One of my very favorite British celebrities) is wearing the same Christian Dior dress on the cover of British Glamour's February 2010 issue that Mia Wasikowska wore in Teen Vogue? You guys are quicker than me, so you probably figured that out ages ago, but I'm crazy and just saw that today. I felt so stupid. Well, in my defense, Borders FINALLY had British Glamour available. So, actually, you can go and blame Borders for me. But seriously, I don't even care, I am so in love with this dress that I want to see it again and again and again. Okay, well, maybe not three times. Twice is enough.
LOVE!

Fashion Quote of the Day

"Fashion is very important. It is life enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well."
Vivienne Westwood

I think I've posted this quote before, but it's just THAT good.

Nicole Richie

Say hello to my new favorite celebrity wedding ring! Nicole Richie's engagement ring is GORGEOUS! I love it so much. (Ashlee Simpson's wedding ring was my old favorite, fyi).
