Okay. Let's talk about Oscar de la Renta's Ready-to-Wear Spring 2012 collection. I know, I know, it took me awhile but everything was so beautiful, I had to let it set in. The collection was ridiculously broad and I just kind of loved everything. This is a perfect description from WWD "The wildly frizzed hair that flew back as the models walked suggested Seventies; the three billowing ballgowns under lace tops that opened the show, Eighties (the good part). But 60-some exits later, a fair conclusion was that Oscar de la Renta's finest hour might be right now." I agree, I agree with all of that.
I probably shouldn't have started with this gown, but whatever. It's kind of amazing. It's a mix between Belle from "Beauty & the Beast" and Scarlett O'Hara from "Gone With the Wind." Right?
I can see this on Lea Michele. I want to see it on Lea Michele.
I hate that I don't hate any of this.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. This is a mix of like, 1039 things I love all mixed into one garment.
I really love the mix of all these textures.
FUR.
OH MY OSCAR DE LA RENTA. This is amazing. Absolutely, positively fantastic. It's gigantic. I love that it is gigantic. I also love that this was the first gown on the runway but I wanted to save the absolute best for last. I kid you not, the second I saw it I went "GASP." Except for I made the sound and didn't say the word because that would be weird. I'm actually obsessed with this particular piece. Oh my gracious.
