2011 Emmy Awards Best Dressed

I know I am usually super cynical and picky with my best dressed list, BUT I kind of like a lot of them. Just hush up. I'm still indecisive.

People are being really weird about Lea Michele's Marchesa gown. I, personally, really like it. It's quite flattering and I love the roses on the sleeves and the back is kind of incredible. Her hair is kind of boring though, I want her bangs pushed the side.

Minka Kelly is kind of the most gorgeous woman. Ever. This Christian Dior gown looks stunning on her. Her hair and makeup was perfect as well. I just kind of am jealous of everything about her.
Rachael Taylor looked amazing. From her Giorgio Armani gown to her cute little hair cut. I love it all. There was beautiful movement to the gown as well. I think this is my favorite look of the night. It's simple, but showstopping.
Speaking of showstopping, Sofia Vergara looked gorgeous as well. This Vera Wang gown looked great on her. But let's face it, everything looks great on her. And we're going to talk about her earrings later. They're AMAZING. And I SWEAR it was a prettier color on the red carpet. These pictures are coming out awful, but it was a great red.
Speaking of showstopping (Yes, again) Nina Dobrev looked gorgeous in this huge Donna Karan gown. It looks really, really, really tight, but I like it still.
I also like Kerry Washington's Zuhair Murad gown. It was really glittery and such and I love it. Red was a SUPER popular color last night and I think I'm okay with it.
I like Anna Faris' dress. It's pretty. Right?
Jayma Mays looked like a baby doll in this super pretty Zuhair Murad gown. I'm starting to believe that is her go to designer and this is her go to color. I would love to see her branch out with colors.
Elizabeth Moss' hair and makeup was kind of a hot mess, and by kind of I mean really a hot mess, but I do love her Marchesa dress. My only concern is the color. Is she pulling it off?
Yes. I am putting winner, Melissa McCarthy on the best dressed. While this dress wasn't necessarily flattering, I mean, the shoulders should've been taken in a bit, she was glowing. She looked genuinely happy (And I mean, she won an Emmy for goodness' sake, she should be happy) and I just loved her acceptance speech and everything. Granted, I'm rambling and I've never seen her show, but still.
I want a man like Jon Hamm. I researched Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt's relationship and they are just about the cutest couple, oh, ever. And I LOVE her dress. I'm not even sure I love the silhouette all that much, but the color is amazing. Everytime they showed shots of the audience, my eye automatically went to her gown. It's lovely. Did I mention how dreamy Jon Hamm was already?...
I hate that I don't hate Kelly Osbourne's J. Mendel gown. It's weird that her hair is gray, but for some reason this is all working for me. I don't know what it is, but it's making me uncomfortable...
I don't know who Anna Torv is (Evidently she's on "Fringe?" Thanks Google, I owe you one.) but I love her Vera Wang dress. It's different. At first I was like "What is going on?" and then I was like "Who is this girl?" and then I was like "I LOVE her earrings. I think I really love her dress too." Then my Uncle chimed in and commented that it was weird that her lipstick was a different color from her earrings, I'm going to do a close-up later, which made me think "That is weird. But I still like her earrings." So, moral of that, I love this dress.
Martha Plimpton looked kind of amazing last night. I don't watch "Raising Hope," I personally think it looks seriously stupid, BUT evidently people do watch it considering it was nominated for an Emmy or two... Anyway, I like her dress. It's fantastic.
THEY ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER. Emily Blunt looked adorable in this Elie Saab dress.
Julie Bowen, who won by the way! (I am VERY excited about this. So did Ty Burrell. I'm even more excited about that. I need "Modern Family" back in my life. And back in my life it will be on Wednesday...) wore a lovely Oscar de la Renta gown. I like it. I think I like her hair too.
I love how Old Hollywood Aubrey Plaza looked in this Juan Carlos Obando gown. Like, I don't LOVE the dress, but her makeup and her hair looks amazing. See, Julianna Margwhatever? THIS is how you do your hair. I think Rashida Jones' Alberta Ferretti gown is kind of amazing. Her hair and her lipstick, on the other hand? Not so amazing. And by not so amazing, I mean I kind of hate it.
