Fashion According To Erin: Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture

I am literally DYING over Christian Dior's Spring 2011 Couture line. It's bananas. I love more than half of the looks, hence this long post. I apologize in advance. I can't get over how delicate, but fierce it is at the same time. I like the colors, the fact that there is a sultry red gown and then pastel blue and pink gowns. But what I really love is the reference back to Dior's New Look in the 1950s. It's one of my favorite time periods, with the exception of the Roaring 20s, of course. I already have a list of people I want in these dresses. Although a lot of these probably won't photograph well on the red carpet, they will look amazing on the pages of Vogue or ELLE if they want to use haute couture dresses, and I think they should. I'm kind of obsessed. And by kind of, I mean absolutely in love. This is getting me really excited for Chanel tomorrow.

Karlie Kloss began the show looking amazing. I do not, however, like her makeup, but I love her hair and her outfit is killing me. It's kind of amazing, but I kind of hate it at the same time. And let's just talk about all these headpieces. I'm sure Sarah Jessica Parker is sitting in her New York penthouse (Or wherever she lives) dying over these. $20 that she will be sporting one of these the next time she comes out for an event.

This may or may not be, but kind of is, my favorite look. You know I love me some structured shoulders and I love her hair.

I love the bottom of this dress. It's amazing. It makes me want to twirl and twirl and twirl until I puke. Or you know, something fancier.

I kind of love this, the fact that it has wing-type detailing could be dangerous, but it gathers in the middle which is lovely. I do not like her gloves though. I hate brown and light blue together.
