Oh, how I love The Oscars so. I had only been looking at pictures for about five minutes and I already picked a favorite. Miley Cyrus. Sure, she's a presenter, but she looks stunning. I love a lot of the dresses actually, but her dress has a very special place in my heart. Gosh, I'm obsessed. Pastels were very popular on the red carpet and I love it, so there's not much to complain about this year. So far. Here we go...
Miley, Miley, Miley. She gets two pictures because I love her Jenny Packham dress just THAT much. From the color to the cut, I love it all. And the fact that she chose a messy, but classy up-do with beautiful chandelier earrings was just the cherry on top. Lovely, Miley. Just lovely.
I really love Cameron Diaz right now. I watched "The Holiday" (My third favorite movie of all time) for about the 456th time last night, so I extra love her. She looked amazing in her Oscar de la Renta gown. Absolutely stunning.
Rachel McAdams, how I adore you so. Her flowy Elie Saab Haute Couture dress is to die for as well. I love how she followed in Miley's footsteps by choosing a simple up-do to allow us to focus on the beautiful dress.
Oh, I want to like this dress. I do. But I can't. Although I love everything Kate Winslet does, I cannot bring myself to love (Or even like, for that matter) her Atelier Yves Saint Laurent bustier evening gown.
Oddly enough, I kind of like Zoe Saldana's Givenchy gown. It's different, but a good different. I had to do a double take and let it all soak in. There is so much going on, but she pulls it off.
I love me some Tina Fey any day of the week, but I can't bring myself to love her Michael Kors gown. Maybe it's just her hair that is throwing me off. I don't know, there is just something that I don't exactly love about it.
I actually really like Sarah Jessica Parker's Chanel Couture gown. Minus the piece around her neck, I really do love it and she accessorized perfectly. The only thing I wish she did differently was her hair. It looks like she forgot about it up until the last second.
Aw, Sandra Bullock. She looks gorgeous. It took me awhile to decide how I feel about her Marchesa gown, but I have decided that I actually really like it. Now all she needs is a little Oscar in her hand. *fingers crossed*
Why is Nicole Richie there and why is she wearing this heinous Reem Acra gown? I have so many unanswered questions...
Mariah Carey. YOU ARE THIRTY-NINE YEARS OLD. For the love of all that is good and holy in this world, would you please stop dressing like you are twenty-five? She put Valentino to shame tonight.
Damn it. Kristen Stewart has managed (somehow) to look pretty on the red carpet again. Her Monique Lhuillier gown is gorgeous. Well done, Miss Stewart. Although, she could've done something to her hair.
Oh holy crap. Jennifer Lopez, what on Earth possessed you to wear this Giorgio Armani Prive gown? I'm sure it would look great on someone without curves, but on J.Lo, it looks just awful. The color is beautiful though, so I'll give her that much.
I actually haven't decided whether or not I like Guiliana Rancic's gown yet. I'll get back to you on that one.
Diane Kruger's Chanel dress isn't doing anything for me which is a shame because we all know how much I love Chanel. I think it's the middle section of the dress that makes me cringe. Is this a joke, Charlize Theron? Her Dior Couture gown has to be a joke.
I love two things about Carey Mulligan's Prada gown. 1. The gown itself and 2. The fact that she told off Anna Wintour when she tried to give her Oscar advice. Awesome.
I really, really love this color right now. Anna Kendrick's Elie Saab Haute Couture gown is gorgeous. With the lacy slit in the front she definitely got it right. I wish her the best of luck. Last, but certainly not least, is one of my new favorites, Amanda Seyfried. As much as I want to love her Armani Prive gown, I can't. The top of the dress is cut way too high in my opinion. If it were cut a little lower, it would definitely be on my favorites list.
So, in case you didn't catch that, my favorites are: Miley Cyrus, Cameron Diaz, Rachel McAdams and Sandra Bullock. Least favorites: J.Lo, Nicole Richie, Kate Winslet (That hurts my heart to say) and Charlize Theron.
I LOVED Kate Winslet's look....and especially loved her Tiffany necklace!!
