2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Earlier today, a bunch of my favorite actresses came out to Santa Monica to celebrate the Film Independent Spirit Awards. The tone of the event was super casual, which I surprisingly really liked. Shall we?
Elizabeth Olsen looked gorgeous in this Antonio Berardi dress. I absolutely adore everything about this look. The dress is kind of lovely and I think I need these Cesare Paciotti shoes. She is so cute and poised. I love it. It's my favorite of the night.
When I first looked at Shailene Woodley's outfit I was not so impressed, but I have come to love it actually. I love her top and her shoes are AMAZING. Gosh. I need these too.
Jessica Chastain looked quite lovely in this Armani Prive suit. While I do think it is a bit heavy for the occasion, I still like it. I mean, compared to her recent fashion choices, this is wonderful.
I adore Rashida Jones' Oscar de la Renta dress. Oh, it is so darling!
While I don't really love Elizabeth Banks' dress, or shoes, I love these colors on her. They are wonderful.
I am not crazy about Zoe Saldana's Balmain dress. It's cute and all, but that's just it. It's just blah.
Kirsten Dunst paired this Dolce & Gabbana dress with a white Chloe jacket which is actually kind of fun. I love that she mixed it up with these shoes. I think they're quite fun.
Michelle Williams wore a little Louis Vuitton number which at first, I hated it, but it's growing on me, I think. Right? She can pull it off.

Jessica Chastain

You. Guys. The Oscars are SO soon. 24 hours, actually. (!@#($)!@&) Jessica Chastain was out last night at the Women in Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party in this pink Elie Saab dress. It's actually formfitting! I think she's starting to read my blog. Or maybe she could hear me typing. I was about 10 minutes away from this party. Either way, I am proud. I don't love the neckline, but the color looks great and this is getting better, you guys.

2012 Costume Designers Guild Awards

The one problem about having that Facebook page of mine (Shameless self promotion, I don't care!) is that once I post something on there, I forget about it on here. I know, my problems are really big, but I think I'll go on. I forgot to write about the gorgeousness that happened Tuesday night at the Costume Designers Guild Awards.
I think this is the best Rooney Mara has ever looked. I love this entire look from head to toe. This J. Mendel dress is kind of amazing. I love the simple silhouette and this eggplant color looks wonderful with her skintone. And the nude shoes and the dark lips. This is so great.
Kate Beckinsale looked gorgeous, AS ALWAYS, in this Vivienne Westwood gown. See? THIS is what I need Jessica Chastain to be wearing.
I honestly dislike the Vivienne Westwood dress Chloe Moretz wore. She is 15. You would not guess that by looking at her in this seaweed of a dress. It's horrible. She should be having fun! I mean, look at that pink streak in her hair, but the dress honestly looks horrible. I can't think of anyone it would look good on. It's just... There.

Kate Winslet

Ah she is so regal. Like a Queen! Honestly, if I could vote for Queen and King of England (Well, I mean, if anyone could vote because I know that's unfortunately not a thing), I would vote for Queen Kate Winslet and King Colin Firth. I don't want them to be married, I just want them to rule the world. Or England. Same thing. So naturally, I'm really excited about how gorgeous she looked tonight in this amazing Jenny Packham gown. I'm glad she got over that whole "weird neckline" thing. She was in Paris at the Cesar Film Awards where she won an Honorary Cesar. Now, I don't know how that is relevant, but Just Jared says it's the equivalent of the Oscars. I don't care about anything Just Jared says, because he doesn't make any sense like, ever and he's really bland, but I am going to stick with him on this one because I am having a bad day and don't feel like questioning anyone. And by anyone, I mean the Internet.

Jessica Chastain

Last night, Jessica Chastain attended The Hollywood Reporter's "Nominees' Night 2012" celebration in a Vivienne Westwood dress. While I do like the color, and oddly enough the sleeves (It kind of reminds me of Belle's dress in "Beauty & the Beast"), it is yet again an unflattering dress. I don't understand. She's cute and tiny so I am having a really hard time grasping this concept. I know I've said it about 1039409124 times, but I do have hope for her. Still. And also, I read that she is bringing her Grandma to the Oscars and she has talked about her Grandma in numerous interviews saying that she wants her to dress in more revealing clothing. So fingers crossed that that means flattering. C'mon Grandma Chastain.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain. You are BETTER THAN THIS. You are. I have faith. Still. But I do not like the Elie Saab dress she wore Tuesday to the 40th Anniversary of Sir Charlie Chaplin's Honorary Academy Award party. I like from the waist down and I love the color, but the lace is just not a good thing. I would like it if there wasn't a random piece of fabric in the middle. Let's imagine this strapless. That would be dandy. But I just do not like this. Her hair looks real pretty though.

Emma Stone

This is the best Emma Stone has looked in awhile. Well, not that she ever looks bad, I'm just trying to make a point. She looks great. She made what I am deeming a random appearance at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon today in a gorgeous Elie Saab dress. It is so girly and dainty. I love it. I want it. I think I might actually need it.
