Picture Perfect

Only 5 more days until Christmas. GET EXCITED. And also feel free to blast the Cheetah Girls' "5 More Days 'Til Christmas" shamelessly. Well, okay, you should feel some shame.

Kardashian Christmas Card 2011

Well, the Kardashian family Christmas card has officially been released, by Kim Kardashian herself. She is raving over it, obvs. and was even kind enough to inform us little people that it was "...shot by the amazing Nick Saglimbeni and there's a special 3D version that you can view with 3D glasses." I mean, WHAT. I love me some Kardashians, I honestly do, they are so entertaining. It's kind of like watching a car crash. Only a prettier one with Khloe Kardashian's sassy remarks. I mean, who doesn't love them? Even if you love to hate them, you still technically love them, right? Now I'm confusing you, aren't I? Now you are second guessing yourself. What's that? You love them. Yeah, I thought so. I really don't love their card this year. I loved last years, it was very sophisticated and classy but this one is kind of dumb. I'm all for the Kardashian half-smize, but this is just too dramatic. And I still don't like the whole "woman in a man's suit" thing. Gah, they're too much but that's why I love them. Also, I'd like to focus on how freaking cute Mason is. And how gorgeous Kendall Jenner is. Look at that dress! And I think it's funny that they even send out Christmas cards because at my house, Christmas cards are where people you never see can show off their kids and their own accomplishments. Everyone in the entire world knows what goes on with the Kardashian family. EVERY-ONE.

Kate Middleton

I am sure Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, (I'm STILL not sure what to call her officially) is bound to be on a countless number of "Best Dressed of 2011" lists within the next week and this is just a reminder as to why. Earlier tonight, she made an appearance with her hubby, William, and my future-hubby, Harry, to the 2011 Sun Military Awards. She looked GORGEOUS. I mean, extra gorgeous, if we're being completely frank. I am in love with her Alexander McQueen gown and her necklace is kind of wonderful. This is subtle, but still kind of fantastic which is something she tends to gravitate towards most. I really love this.
I will forever be jealous of her life.
She is absolutely stunning.

Fashion Quote of the Day

"What is comfortable fashion? To be comfortable, that can't be in the vocabulary of fashion. If you want to be comfortable, stay home in your pajamas."
Donatella Versace

Coco Rocha

OF course Coco Rocha was the first to wear a piece from Zac Posen's Pre-Fall 2012 collection. She actually wore the one I envisioned on Michelle Williams. She looks great but I really don't love this dress all that much, but maybe it's growing on me. That is yet to be decided. We've talked about my problems with shoulder cutouts. Anyway, she stole the show last night at the New York City premiere of "The Iron Lady."

Glamour Paris January 2012

Oh. My. Gosh. Okay, maybe I'm overreacting just a bit, but almost all of the January 2012 magazine covers are super disappointing. Kate Winslet is on the cover of Glamour Paris' January issue and it's kind of a hot mess. All of it. Her makeup, her hair, her outfit, the font and coloring of the cover. I hate it.

Allure January 2012

I've been waiting anxiously for this cover. I didn't know how it would turn out, but Rooney Mara graces the cover of Allure's January 2012 issue. I don't hate it. But I don't love it. What I do hate, however, is the fact that this shoot took place at the freaking beach. AGAIN. I'm done. I am going to give up. It's just so bland and boring. Vogue has done it twice and now Allure. I need this to stop. But her makeup is pretty. Whatever.
Her makeup is so pretty and subtle! This is the cover shot. I'm just not in love with it.
This exact-ish picture and pose happened in Vogue for her cover shoot. I swear. I. SWEAR.

Temperley London Pre-Fall 2012

Alice Temperley describes her Pre-Fall 2012 collection as "...less of a bohemian look, more dreamlike and ethereal. There is more of an opulence, a femininity, and a flow to the collection." I think dreamlike is the perfect description. I love the detailing and the color palette. And don't get me started on the use of gloves, it's very "Breakfast at Tiffany's." What happened to this kind of elegance? Why don't we wear gloves anymore? Let's start that up again. Also, I love that they are going to keep subtly patterned tights for next Fall. It's my favorite.
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.
I am probably going to have dreams about this.
From far away, I'm okay with these velvet pants. I repeat, from far away!
I think this is my favorite. I love everything about it.
LOVE.
