Fashion Quote of the Day

"It's funny that it all becomes about clothes. It's bizarre. You work your butt off and then you win an award and it's all about your dress. You can't get away from it."
Reese Witherspoon

Interview June/July 2012

Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart are taking over magazine covers this month. As you can probably figure out, I am excited about 1/2 of that. I mean, I think Charlize Theron is perfectly capable of being photographed and interviewed without her "Snow White and the Huntsman" costar, but whatever. They both grace the cover of Interview's June/July issue and I am, of course, having a lot of feelings about it. On one hand, Charlize Theron looks smokin'. On the other hand, I don't think KStew was necessary. Like, could she look MORE bored? I don't think so. Also, nothing about this photo shoot stands out to me. Besides Charlize's beauty, but that is a given.
I mean, really KStew?... Charlize, you're beautiful. Never change.
She looks so disgusted by the closeness of Charlize Theron and the situation in general. I am mostly disgusted by her hair. This is my least favorite hairstyle ever in the history of hairstyles.
Because I needed someone else to see the complete awkward attempt at sex appeal. I couldn't live knowing I was the only one with this visual in my mind forever.

Lea Michele

Lea Michele attended Glamour's Women of the Year Awards event on Tuesday in London. She looked gorgeous, of course, in this Zac Posen gown. But here's my problem. She has already worn so many blue gowns and this just seems a little repetitive. I mean, I still love this dress but I want her to mix it up a little bit. I know she can do it. We've all seen how amazeballs she can look, here being no exception. Oh Lea, you know I love you still.

Interview Germany June/July 2012

Victoria Beckham, my spirit animal (Honestly, I'm convinced), graces the cover of Interview Germany's June/July issue and I kind of love it a lot. Well, I kind of love her a lot. She is flawless. Or very close to flawless, at least.
I don't get the book thing that is going on right now though. Wouldn't it be more believable with a magazine? Actually, that was a rhetorical question because I am telling you that it would be more believable with a magazine. But alas, she still looks super fierce.
I love her hair this length,

Bullet Summer 2012

Blake Lively graces the cover of Bullet's Summer issue. This is more proof to my theory that she should just stick to modeling and stop acting. I really like her, I do, but she is just so... Yeah. I could talk about Blake Lively's acting for a good 45 minutes straight. Just ask. I'll do it. Whatever. She's so pretty. I hate it.
 Sit like a lady, Blake.
I adore this Cushnie et Ochs dress and peplum SO incredibly much.
Her hair is bothering me. I want to brush it. But if I got the chance to brush Blake Lively's hair, I picture the situation going much like the scene in "The Princess Diaries" when Anne Hathaway's character is getting her crazy hair brushed and she breaks the brush. That would happen. But in the case of Blake and the brush, I'm sure I would receive a restraining order on top of that.
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY IN THIS SWEET, SWEET WORLD. I cannot with this Prada bodysuit. I CANNOT. Okay. I'm overreacting a little bit. But like, REALLY?

Brooklyn Decker

Brooklyn Decker is already unfairly pretty, but she decided to out-pretty herself (It's a thing, don't question me.) on Sunday at the Coca-Cola 600 Race in North Carolina. I don't know if I'm the only one who finds this appearance really random, but whatever. She wore a cute little Balenciaga dress and the most fantastic little shoes I've ever seen. I need them in my life, you guys. I. Need. Them.

British GQ July 2012

AGARF. Oh gosh, I am so looking forward to "The Amazing Spiderman" promotional tour that is about to start. You know I love me some Andrew Garfield every now and then. He is on the cover of British GQ's July issue looking oh, so dapper in a maroon suit. My only concern about this cover is that there is so much writing. Like, I can barely see AGarf's face. It's becoming a problem. But gosh, he's so attractive. It hurts my eyes sometimes. Just wrap me in your web already, Spiderman. (Forgive that awful attempt at a pun or whatever. It's 2 AM. Cut me some slack.)

Harper's Bazaar Russia June 2012

Well, of COURSE this happened again. I think this has become a joke by now. Just when I thought we were done, Harper's Bazaar Russia decided to feature Claire Danes on their June cover in, you guessed it, a Prada bodysuit. Now, granted, this is a cute one (They all were cute once...) and it has not been used as much, but still. It's principle, people. I'm done. It's not funny anymore, world. It's just not funny. Also, don't get me started on her hair.

"Remember that with her clothes a woman puts off her modesty."

Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger proved once and for all that she is the Queen of Cannes. I mean, she really is though. She attended the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival in this absolutely breathtaking Christian Dior gown. I am just floored right now. She looks so gorgeous. She still has that whole Grace Kelly vibe going on. I would like to give a standing ovation to her stylist for Cannes because she looked amazing 9/10 times throughout the 12 days. Okay, that math clearly doesn't add up, but c'est la vie.

Fergie

Oh my gosh, what even? Fergie was spotted at LAX today with her hubby, Josh Duhamel, (Sidenote: I still don't understand that relationship. Either he's really weird or she's really normal and her whole "Fergie Ferg" thing is just a cooky act.) in well, THIS. I don't even know what she is wearing but I do know that I hate every single piece of it. Like, is she wearing a sarong? Nay, is she wearing a beach towel and then a sarong? And what are these pants? Literally, what the Hell are you wearing, Fergie? Now I'm just pissed because I am confused. I mean, what does it say when the security guard at LAX is better dressed than you? You rock that bright orange vest, security guard.

Reese Witherspoon

Oh my gosh. I have always thought Reese Witherspoon was just the cutest little thing, but now that she's pregnant, she's even cuter. I mean, like that was possible, right? She attended the premiere of "Mud" at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday looking darling in this Versace gown. Now, I don't really like the gown, but let's not upset her because I hear pregnant women are emotional. She looks cute and she is rocking that slit like it's nobody's business, so I will give her that much.

Vanessa Hudgens

There must be something in the water because I am legitimately concerned about Hollywood right now. My two least favorite celebrities managed to blow me away with their fashion choices. First Kristen Stewart at the "Cosmopolis" premiere in Cannes (See below) and now Vanessa Hudgens at the Amber Lounge Fashion Show in Monaco today. She looked gorgeous in this Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti gown. I mean, of course she added Lana del Rey-esque nails to remind us that she is Vanessa Hudgens afterall and that she does wear ugly things a majority of the time. But she stepped it up a notch and I love it. Damn you, Vanessa. DAMN YOU.

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart is still invading my celebrity gossip sites with her involvement with the Cannes Film Festival. Fortunately for her, she managed to look more than decent at the premiere of "Cosmopolis" tonight. She wore a stupidly gorgeous Reem Acra dress and through her obvious awkwardness (It was the premiere for RPatz's movie, so maybe this is her way of seducing him or something?), she kind of killed it. This is my favorite look from her thusfar. I hate that I said that, but it's true. It's true, alright?! Leave me alone to cry over my words. I'm sure I'll regret them in a few outfit changes. It is KStew, afterall.

Michelle Monaghan

Holy. Crap. Michelle Monaghan looked so pretty at the FiFi Awards on Monday. I mean. Have we seen her look this good, um, ever? Maybe. But my memory is not coming up with anything because this is just. She wore a vintage Halston gown (I'm sure somewhere in LA, Rachel Zoe is crying herself to sleep over the fact that she didn't get her hands on this first.) and she looked great. She kept everything simple and I am just dying. I love the side cutouts on this dress. They are quite close to perfection.

Leighton Meester

Evidently Jared Eng, from JustJared, thinks he is a fashion photographer or something. Now, I do not agree under any circumstances. These pictures are proof. Luckily for him, he shot Leighton Meester and she can make anything and everything look fantastic. Does that mean I like this shoot? Oh heavens no. But I have an undying love for Leighton Meester. Always. I mean, please. It's not like you need reminding.
She is just so pretty.
Who edited these pictures? What are her eyes? Also, what is her hair?
I rolled my eyes. I hate "You're a musician, now pretend you're playing the guitar. They'll love it!" pictures. I LOVE YOU THOUGH, LEIGHTON. THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT.

Kirsten Dunst & Kristen Stewart

Kirsten Dunst actually looked amazeballs on Wednesday at the photocall in Cannes for "On the Road." Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, looked the opposite of amazeballs. What would the opposite of amazeballs be? Just balls? No. That can't be right. I still haven't given myself food, the rest of this post probably won't make sense. Anyway, they were photographed looking pretty chummy, which is a rare sight for KStew because, well, you know. Evidently she hates everyone and everything.
Now, this picture makes me uncomfortable and makes me laugh all at the same time. Is Kristen having a "jolly good time" or is she trying to push Kirsten (Damn it, this Kristen/Kirsten thing is getting confusing.) away? The world may never know. But it seems as though it's the first one. People keep commenting on possible baby bumps too, so the world may know shortly. Now, Kristen's Balenciaga pants. I'm not in love with them. It looks like she peed confetti and didn't have time to change her pants. I don't know why her sunglasses are on her head either. That is a big no-no, especially for a photocall. IN FRANCE. Ugh, that girl.
Kirsten, on the other hand, looked kind of amazing. I am kind of obsessed with this Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore. She looks like a little princess from Sweden or something. Oh, I don't know. I do know that I love it though.

"I think there's nothing worse than when I see a girl completely struggling in the street wearing heels that she can't walk in."
Melanie Ward

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence was out and about in London today look as flawless as ever. She kept her outfit simple, but I love it. Gosh, my girl crush is increasing with every ignored "Will you be my best friend?" letter. Just kidding. I swear I haven't sent any of those but I am thisclose because I want to be friends with her so badly. Ugh. For now, I'll just blog about how great she is and how compatible we are as BFFs. But first task as her BFF, figure out why she has two purses. Whatever. I love you either way, Jennifer.

Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger is still in Cannes and she is still kicking everyone's ass. Fashion wise, I mean. I think she seems like quite a peaceful person otherwise. Today she attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala and as much as a part inside my soul tells me that I shouldn't like this, a bigger part of my soul tells me I should. I'm listening to the bigger (smarter) part of my soul. She looked gorgeous in this Chanel dress. It's a tad over the top, but I think it is fantastic. And those earrings. DYING. I don't like her hair, but c'est la vie. Her Chanel dress is making up for it 100%. These are things I cannot control. If you want to blame someone, blame my soul. Or something. I don't know. I think I should eat something, I'm starting to make less and less sense with every post.

Britney Spears

Okay, I have been VERY behind on this whole "keeping everyone up to date on celebrities" thing. Now, granted, in my head I am a lot more 1. Famous 2. Successful and 3. Influential than I really am. But irregardless, I do apologize. So, I'm sure you've heard (From someone else, not me, because I suck remember?) that Britney Spears is a new judge of "The X Factor." I'm proud of her and quite excited. I love me some Brit Brit and I have been rooting for her since day one. She looks so uncomfortable and that makes me sad. She's the best. Her stylist, however, is the worst. Britney was in Texas today doing auditions for the show and whatnot, and she showed up in this Brian Lichetenberg dress. Now, I hate this. I'm not sure what all I hate about it, but I hate it. On the plus side, her hair looks damn good. I mean, that only took like 7 years, right?

Kristen Stewart

I've made it quite clear throughout the ramblings on my blog and Facebook that I am not Kristen Stewart's biggest fan. She seems snotty and ungrateful and I think that is reason enough to dislike her at least a little (lot) bit. Now, I'm starting to think that she got word of it and is trying to get back at me because this happened today... She attended the premiere of "On the Road" in Cannes today in this hideous Balenciaga dress. It's a mix between a tacky table cloth and ugly curtains. I hate it. It's so bad. And the fact that the top half has the pattern really bunched together and then the bottom half has the pattern more spread out is giving me weird anxiety. And don't get me started on her hair. I MEAN. C'mon KStew. I would be nicer to you if you stopped complaining about the media TO the media and if you started looking like you cared just a little bit.

Fashion Quote of the Day

"We don't live in a world of reality, we live in a world of perceptions. No woman can be well dressed unless she is comfortable in what she is wearing."
Bill Blass

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow is everything. Let's just start off with making that known. Somehow she is managing to look better than ever before and I applaud her for it. My gosh. She looked incredible last night at the Night Out with the Millennium event, where she was joined by Bill Clinton and a lot of other boring people. Will.i.Am was there. I really don't understand celebrity events sometimes. C'est la vie. Now, granted, I can't even see the rest of her dress (Or pants?) but I love it. I love it so much. Gwyneth, please adopt me as a friend/close confidant. I'm open to either one, you can choose.
