Calvin Klein Billboard "Scandal"

Alright, I must address the whole Calvin Klein billboard scandal because it is so stupid. Calvin Klein's latest billboard (Located in Lower Manhattan) has been getting a lot of attention recently due to it's alleged "dirty word." People who have way too much time on their hands believe that his newest ad has a hidden message, the ever so classy word, F***. Evidently the word starts near Lara Stone's hip and ends by the K. Her underwear represent the U and so on. Yes, now that it has been pointed out, you can see it, but let's be real right now. Calvin Klein's ads have always pushed the envelope and whether or not they meant to do this, it got your attention and in the end, isn't that what it's all about?

Victoria's Secret SWIM Collection

Last night, a handful of Victoria's Secret Angels came out to launch the 2011 Victoria's Secret SWIM Collection and not only am I excited to see the Collection, but I am even more excited about one of the dresses worn last night. Shall we?
She gets two pictures due to the fact that I am dying over the dress Alessandra Ambrosio wore. Oh my goodness, it's gorgeous! And if I'm not mistaken, I believe it's Roberto Cavalli because it looks oddly similar to the Roberto Cavalli dress Lea Michele wore on the November 2010 cover of Marie Claire UK, no? I could be wrong, but either way, it's gorgeous.
I don't like this dress, but I just had to comment on Miranda Kerr's body for there is NO way that she just had a baby. Absolutely no way. If, God forbid, I ever bear a child, I pray that the baby weight disappears this fast. It's incredible.
Candice Swanepoel has been getting some crap lately due to her body. Apparently she is "too skinny," but I am going to have to disagree. She's not too skinny at all. She's a VS Angel for crying outloud, of course she's skinny. Am I right?...

Rachel Zoe & Co.

New Mama, Rachel Zoe, Tweeted a picture of her hubby, Rodger and their precious little Skyler Morrison and I am DYING. They are the cutest!! Ugh, I'm an awful person, but I want to see more pictures of her baby! Is that really so bad?...

Redbook May 2011

I know I am not alone when I tell you that I hate how much I absolutely adore the Kardashian family. I don't know what it is that makes me want them to adopt me. Ridiculous. The Kardashian and Jenner girls (and Kourtney's son Mason) grace the cover of Redbook's Mother's Day issue with Mama Kardashian and they all look beautiful, as usual.

Shenae Grimes

Evidently Shenae Grimes "stumbled" out of an LA club last night and I have two possible explanations for what is going on in this picture: a) She was out drinking because she was so distraught with her decision to put on these hideous pants b) She got drunk before she put on the hideous pants. If it's not a or b, then I'm kind of confused for the outfit would be cute if her pants were in one piece and not, well, four. Mm bless her hot mess of a soul.

Glamour May 2011

I have a love hate relationship with Glamour's three covers thing. They did it last April, I remember because I was pissed that Leighton Meester was one of them and I wanted her to have the cover spotlight to herself, and they've done it again for May but my problem is this... I like all three of the shoots and two and a half out of the three cover girls. I want them to each have their own covers! See? Dilemma. So, I will have to come to terms with the fact that Ashley Greene, Freida Pinto and Emma Stone grace all three covers of Glamour's May issue. I do love the fact that the shoots are all relatively the same. It starts off springy and adorable and then transforms to a simpler and more classic look. The Spring looks have my heart, naturally, but I'm not complaining. I like the classic look as well. This actually has me excited for Spring. Almost. Okay, I'm lying, I am really excited for Spring now, thank you very much Glamour.
This is so cute! She is so cute! And don't even get me started on this D&G dress! It's to die for. Emma Stone has quickly become one of my favorites and I am 100% okay with that. I mean, honestly, what's not to like?... Yeah, that's what I thought.
I was starting to actually really love her hair until this picture. Her bangs need to be swept to the side and then this picture would be golden. But until then... And I'm kind of also confused as to why they used more of her simple looks in comparison to using her Spring looks like they did with Freida and Ashley. Interesting, no?
Fierce. I adore her.
She is so gorgeous, I can't even handle it sometimes. And this Peter Som outfit? Oh good heavens, I want it. I want it right now, please.
Not only does she looks stunning, but I am OBSESSED with this Nanette Lepore outfit. The J.C Crew cardigan I could live without, but just look at the print! Look at those colors. She is killing it. I love it.
Adorbs. I love Spring! I think. I'm torn. But I do really love this outfit. The D&G shorts are to die for. Naturally, I wouldn't pair the already loud D&G shorts with a patterned Louis Vuitton shirt, but somehow this works.
I actually hate this outfit. A whole heck of a lot. I'm not the biggest fan of criss-cross nonsense.

Fashion Quote of the Day

"And now, I'm just trying to change the world, one sequin at a time."
Lady Gaga

Michelle Williams

I am hereby deciding that I, Erin Brady, am going to be Michelle Williams' new stylist. I mean, clearly she needs me because clearly she is unwilling to change when it comes to her wardrobe. I mean, how many times has she worn a white/off-white/cream/etc. dress? Seriously. Try and count the times on your hands. Oh yes, you ran out of fingers, didn't you? Case in point: Michelle Williams needs a) Me; to style and guide her or b) A color wheel; because I am starting to wonder whether or not she knows that other colors exist besides black and white.

"The most beautiful makeup of a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy."

"Sucker Punch" LA Premiere

Oh, this is embarrassing. The "Sucker Punch" Los Angeles premiere was last Wednesday, which in fashion world means last year, but oh well. I'm a little too in love with some of the dresses to give up on these pictures and drag them to the trash on my computer. Anyway, I like a lot of these dresses, so shall we?...
I am in love with Jamie Chung's Giambattista Valli gown. Good heavens! The color looks amazing on her, I don't even know where to begin. And her nude shoes elongate her legs even more. Ugh. And her hair! I love it all. It's wonderful.
I also love Vanessa Hudgens' Jenny Packham dress. And I love her hair. Fashion-wise, she may or may not be redeeming herself. Her whole look is very old Hollywood, and I adore that.
I think I like Emily Browning's dress, but I'm not sure. It kind of looks like a tablecloth, no?
I do not love Jena Malone's Juan Carlos Obando outfit. I feel as though it would work best in an editorial. It's just very, no.
Ooh although it bothers me when celebrities don't wear dresses on the red carpet, I do love Emma Roberts' Razan Alazzouni top. It's really, really, really cute. What I find strange about Emma Roberts is the fact that she recently denied dating Dave Franco. I mean, I would embrace the CRAP out of that rumor. I mean, honestly. Have you seen him? Y. U. M. M. Y.
Oh, my boyfriend was also there with stubby looking legs. I need him. I mean, he needs me, to give him a wardrobe makeover. I just don't understand his pants... I'm also fixated on his pants because whilst typing this, I can only see from his elbows down.

Congrats!

Rachel Zoe and hubby Rodge finally had their baby and named him (wait for it) Skyler Morrison. Skyler Morrison Berman. Are you kidding me right now? That name melts my heart. Melts. My. Heart. I can't wait to meet him! And by meet him, I mean I can't wait to see pictures of that little guy. I'm sure he's already rocking Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen. Of course they don't make baby clothes, but rumor has it Rachel Zoe has connections.

Anne Hathaway

Shut up right now! Oh my gosh, I am obsessed with the Dolce & Gabbana dress Anne Hathaway wore whilst promoting "Rio" in Brazil earlier this week. I mean, oh my gosh, it's BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely beautiful. I love the dress to pieces and I also love her shoes and her hair. Her clutch, on the other hand, is really distracting. I'm not a fan of purses, even clutches, on the red carpet. Very distracting and unnecessary, no?

Lux Woman January 2011

FLASHBACK! Just kidding, I overlooked this spread and since it's mah gurl Leighton Meester, I am going back in time. No judgments, please. So, Leighton was featured in Lux Woman's January issue and she looked marvelous, as always. Gosh dang, I have missed her so incredibly much. So, without (more) further ado, here are some more stunning pictures of Leighton. As if this blog doesn't have enough.
This is my favorite picture out of the batch. She is rocking this Louis Vuitton dress like it's nobody's business and I love her for that.
I am still surprised by how much I love Leighton Meester in a suit. I don't know guys, I just don't know.

Fashion Quote of the Day

"There is no definition [of elegance], and that is exactly the reason why it is hard to be elegant. It defers from person to person; it is about attitude rather than about what you wear. I guess a first rule would be not to hide one's personality behind an outfit. You can't buy elegance."

Kate Winslet

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. My sweet, sweet favorite person ever, Kate Winslet showed up at the premiere of her new television series, "Mildred Pierce," in this hot mess of a dress. I adore the crap out of Miss Winslet (You know that already though, for I previously mentioned that she would be invited to my dream dinner party) but I do not adore ANYTHING about this outfit. Oh, Kate. What are you doing to me?...

W Magazine April 2011

Mia Wasikowska and "Jane Eyre" costar Michael Fassbender grace the cover of W Magazine's April issue and I kind of really like it. I have this weird thing with Mia Wasikowska. She is so darling, but she manages to slightly annoy and intrigue me all at the same time. Most of that is due to the fact that her last name gives me a headache and I have to spell it really really s-l-o-w-l-y. It's annoying. This shoot, however, is not. It's simple and clean and sometimes that is best when you have more than one person on the cover.
Ew! What are these gloves doing? No, no, no. No.
This Alexander McQueen dress is getting all sorts of exposure and I'm not complaining. I mean, look at the movement of the dress! It's gorgeous. I love me some ostrich feathers, that's for sure.
